The B.C. production of Twilight’s sequel has RCMP protection.

The Mounties–front line warriors against drug smugglers, busters of counterfeit money schemes, getter-er of men–have faced their most important assignment to date: defending Twilight’s Robert Pattinson from screaming tweens. On the Vancouver Island set of the vampire drama’s sequel, the Mounties have been responsible for keeping overexcited fans away from the set.

“Everything went well on the first day but then a group of teenage girls got a little too close when the filming moved to the Long Beach area of the island,” Constable Brendon Baillant told Radar Online. “They were totally miffed with us when we told them that they could not get any closer.” Kristin Stewart calmed them down by posing for photos.

In exchange for Canada’s police service’s noble work defending Hollywood’s valuable heartthrob community, the film’s producers donated $3000 to a Mountie charity that gives sports equipment to schools. Don’t tell them that they’ll stand there for free if you just set up a little table with TimBits.

What the fuck is up with that?

To name that the most important assignment is outrageous and plains stupid. It’s not even fair to say such a thing.

How can you even call this their most important assignment to date?

What about all the mounties we have lost in the past years?

Their assignments were FAR more important.

What about the current raising cost of cocaine, which is causing increased gang wars in Vancouver.

THAT is important, and that leads to them putting their lives at risk to keep US safe.

It’s just IGNORANT to say that, and disrespectful for the fallen mounties in my opinion.

And what the hell is with that Tim Bits Line? That comment was completely unnecessary and unacceptable.

The RCMP is higly train and proffesional. Show some respect to our forces,one thing is to link TimBits as a cultural symbol and another is to say that the RCMP wills tand tehre for free in exchance of timbits.

Ryan Porter has fucking issues by claiming that assigment as the most important to date. Fucking idiot.

I don’t agree with them calling the Transition a flying car.

It’s more like a road airplane, than a flying car.

It clearly is more airplane than car >.>

It bothers me that they are dubbing it a flying car.

It’s a fucking compact airplane!

It even needs to take off and land at an airport, the fact that you can ride it in the streets does not make it a car.
